The "Cobra" is simply one of the most sought after motor sport and sportscar icons in the world. Carol Shelby's effort of implanting a high performance American V8 into the appealing lightweight body of this British designed AC Roadster created a powerful legend, the AC Shelby Cobra.
Available either with the 289 small block engine or later also with the big block 427 engine the Cobra proved to be competitive on the international race tracks. It was also the ultimate Sportscar to own in teh 60's next to the Ferraris, Jaguars and Aston Martins.
Featured in many movies including the Gumball Rallye it became a legend. Today Cobras are some of the most desirable collector cars in the world offering the owners brute fun as well as a solid investement. The Cobra can be driven on the street, in Touring and Rallye events or in many vintage race events including the Tour Auto, Monterey Historics and the Le Mans Classic.
This car, chassis CSX2252, was delivered new with the rare Dual Quad carburetor setup for more performance. The car has a flawless history and is an unmolested example with less than 21,000 original miles. It has been with its last owner for many years. She is in very appealing relatively fresh restored condition, mechanically perfect and ready for a new home.
