1952 Nash Healey Coupe. In 1951 Nash Motorcar Company introduced a new sportscar, the first new American Sportscar since the early 1930s. The English engineer Donald Healey caught the attention of Nash when his entry at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a modified Nash Ambassador engine resulted in a respectable 4th place. Nash sent the drivetrains to Healey in England where the new high performance engine with aluminum cylinder heads was installed and the rolling chassis completed. The rolling chassis was sent to Pininfarina in Italy who fitted the cars with their body and completed the cars for delivery. The first limited run of the Nash Healey were built with the Pininfarina design. The Coupes and the Roadsters competed successfully at many races including the Mille Miglia and the 24 hours of LeMans
This Pininfarina designed Coupe finished in a very deep blue must be one of the finest examples of this rare Mille Miglia eligible car. A full concours restoration has been performed in Germany with an expense of $180,000. Extensive photo documentation of the restoration comes with the car. The car is currently in Europe with valid registration and all EC taxes and duty paid. A wonderful car with successful show history.
